"All ticked off"

Films: Ticks (1993)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Forest/Haunted home

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of rats to a large dog.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: If there is one parasite that we positively never want to be cursed with, it's the tick. These little bastards can swarm any unlucky creature in seconds, and burrow their heads in them in a vice grip to get at the blood. Disgusted yet? Well, you ain't seen nothing yet.

History: A small cabin in the woods has been experimenting with growth formula to make even more potent marijuana. This is good news for the drug dealers behind it, but bad news for the ecosystem, which has now been infected by the runoff from the experiments. The only animals prospering from it all are the ticks, which have now grown exponentially, and are hankering to absolutely butcher anything they can get their jaws around.

Notable Kills: One of the first deaths goes to a hamster. Also, see Final Fate.

Final Fate: One of the ticks infects a guy to the point where a monstrous giant tick comes bursting out of his body. Before it can do too much damage, it is blown up with the rest of its kind. However, at least one larva sac remains...

Powers/Abilities: All it takes is the tick’s head to be buried in you for it to feast on your blood and grow into a giant.

Weakness: Anything conventional, though fire is the best option.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-We get squeamish enough thinking about what regular ticks do to us. Imagine the fear on everyone's mind when these enlarged armored monstrosities come scuttling your way at a rapid pace just so they can burrow into your skin, and either suck you dry or mutate into butchering horror shows. It's not too pleasant, isn't it?

Trivia: -Ticks are not bugs, but arthropods. They have been around since the Cretaceous period, and love the warmer areas across the world.

-One of the most dangerous ticks is the Deer Tick, also known as the Blacklegged Tick. Their calling card is how they mainly carry Lyme disease.

About to? It's already begun!

Get the hammer!

If you eat that, don't blame us for the eggs in your intestine.
Behold! Blood and power!

Awfully kind of that tick to piggyback without interference.
From the veil of science comes a new species to terrify and kill.

No wonder they hate us.
It's gonna be a long day.

Good luck with the oxygen levels, jerk!
